We are seeking a skilled Senior Transportation Inspector to enhance our Construction Management Team at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing transportation infrastructure projects. This position necessitates US Residency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate contractor activities on transportation initiatives
  • Lead and mentor inspection personnel
  • Monitor and document quantities of payable items
  • Ensure accuracy of record-keeping
  • Engage with various stakeholders
  • Perform additional related tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a technician role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Familiarity with highway construction documentation
  • Proficient in resolving intricate issues
  • Understanding of DOT Standards
  • NCDOT certifications are advantageous
  • Experience with regional clients is a plus

Work Environment:

This role involves fieldwork that includes bending, standing, and lifting items weighing up to 25 lbs. You will be exposed to varying weather conditions.
