We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team at KJ's Market. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products received from vendors are properly processed and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee vendor activities to ensure accurate and efficient receiving of products.
  • Maintain a daily receiving and discrepancy log to track any issues.
  • Update system files as needed to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Ensure that a backup receiving clerk is trained and available at all times.
  • Report any discrepancies or pricing problems to management and the Pricing Department.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to ensure efficient operations.
  • Handle damaged merchandise according to established procedures.
  • Follow all security and shrink procedures to prevent loss.
  • Perform stockroom and cashier duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds constantly.
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge of DSD/Scanning operations and ability to work with computers.
  • Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to push a pallet jacket, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
