Overview
As the Senior Environmental, Safety, and Quality Assurance Specialist, you will spearhead the implementation of regulatory adherence across various domains, including food safety quality assurance and environmental health and safety. You will also be responsible for executing risk management strategies, developing contingency plans, and overseeing training initiatives.
Your role will involve leading a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional service while ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will play a pivotal role in the seamless integration of operational processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to foster innovation within a dynamic environment.

- As the Senior Specialist, you will motivate team members, assess and mitigate risks, implement contingency strategies, and provide training on regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including FDA, USDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards.
- Conduct monitoring and reporting of safety and compliance metrics.
- Lead investigations into incidents related to workplace safety and food safety.
- Promote a culture of safety and engagement that aligns with company values.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance operational performance and recognize outstanding contributions from team members.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Functional knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Experience in risk management and employee training programs.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of safety principles and loss prevention strategies.
Ideally, you will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in food distribution operations.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations such as DOT, FMCSA, EPA, and OSHA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications in HACCP, PCQI, or CSP.
