Role Summary

This is not a conventional accounting role focused solely on financial reporting or general ledger tasks. Instead, you will be a detail-oriented, data-centric professional who embraces challenges and actively enhances operational efficiencies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and enhancement of financial reporting, project accounting, financial planning and analysis, and business intelligence functions.
  2. Oversee all transactional activities related to accounting, finance, and administration, including payroll, accounts payable, billing, insurance, general ledger maintenance, and treasury operations.
  3. Identify and implement improvements to financing, accounting, and administrative processes, establishing standardized operating procedures.
  4. Facilitate the adoption of new business systems and initiatives, including the implementation of a new ERP system.
  5. Collaborate with operations leadership to create comprehensive budgets and forecasts at both the company-wide and project levels, providing detailed analyses of incurred costs and completion estimates.
Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Goal Seek).
  • Familiarity with construction-related accounting principles (preferred).
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting/ERP systems, such as Sage Intacct, Netsuite, or Acumatica (preferred).
  • An interest in business intelligence and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau (preferred).
