Field Service Technician

Job Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing jobs involving the service and repair of equipment, working both independently and on a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to evaluate and repair a variety of equipment, including earth moving equipment, diesel engines, electric power generators, lift trucks, and allied products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs using correct tools and procedures
  • Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance service according to factory guidelines
  • Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
  • Work in field service as an experienced technician as required
  • Adhere to and follow all applicable and required safety standards and procedures
  • Work independently in the field as required

Qualifications

  • Technical/other training (preferred)
  • High School or Equivalent (required)
  • Experience
    • A minimum of one (1) year's work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education is required.
