We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Operations Technician to join our team at the Arizona Department of Administration. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of the traveling public.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on highways and roadways, including guardrail maintenance, pothole repair, and chain link and barbed wire repair.
- Operate motorized vehicles and equipment, including heavy-duty equipment and maintenance vehicles.
- Assist in the delivery of equipment and materials, and perform environmental compliance tasks.
- Work positively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and the public.
- 6 months of job-related experience in roadway/highway maintenance, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Ability to carry 50-60 lbs solo or with assistance.
- CDL Class A License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hiring date.
