Job Summary:

The Operations Technician is responsible for assisting the Operations department in performing general maintenance duties and ensuring the upkeep of The Opportunity Tree's fleet of vehicles. Primary duties include taking agency vehicles to designated service providers for maintenance, ensuring each vehicle is equipped with required supplies, and assisting with minor facility repairs.

Additional responsibilities include basic clerical duties, such as maintaining spreadsheets, updating records, and filing Operations documents. The Operations Technician must also coordinate the pick-up and drop-off of fleet vehicles, maintain essential vehicle documents, and ensure the interior and exterior appearance of agency vehicles is maintained.

Requirements include a minimum of 18 years of age, a current driver's license with a Non-Restricted Motor Vehicle Record, and the ability to communicate in English. Experience in maintenance and the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) field is preferred.

The Operations Technician must be able to work collaboratively as a team member, maintain confidentiality, and represent The Opportunity Tree effectively in the community. Successful completion of required training, including CPR and First Aid, is also required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordination of fleet vehicle maintenance
  • Maintenance of essential vehicle documents
  • Maintenance of agency vehicle inventory
  • Maintenance of essential supplies in vehicles
  • Maintenance of vehicle appearance and functionality
  • Assistance with basic repairs and maintenance issues
  • Completion of weekly/monthly vehicle inspections
  • Basic clerical duties
  • Assistance with operational needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Current driver's license with Non-Restricted Motor Vehicle Record
  • Ability to communicate in English
