Job Overview

Position Objective:
The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager role is designed to guarantee that finished goods are manufactured and delivered efficiently and promptly through streamlined scheduling from production to assembly.

This position entails overseeing the planning team and offering assistance for new product developments. The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager will report directly to the Materials Manager.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage planning operations, assess demand capacities, support customer requirements, and oversee inventory management, including safety stock evaluations.
  • Assist in new product initiatives and adjust planning parameters in the ERP system according to supply chain principles.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of the supply plan, investigate discrepancies, and devise recovery strategies as necessary.
  • Facilitate daily meetings with Production, Materials, Distribution, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Generate and analyze reports to track booked sales against forecasted demand, updating forecasts and communicating with suppliers.
  • Lead weekly meetings, providing updates as required, including Capacity Production, My Touchpoint, and Daily Shortage meetings.
  • Engage in weekly discussions regarding new product demand and forecasting, as well as New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support various functional areas.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate and current information is utilized in all reports.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose actionable plans.
  • Monitor and suggest optimizations for production batches.
  • Organize monthly reviews of Balance Scorecards.
  • Coordinate weekly collaboration calls with Purchasing and Sister Plants.
  • Consistently deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • APICS CPIM Certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, procurement, and logistics, with a focus on imports or manufacturing operations, along with proficiency in sales and forecasting tools.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and formulas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MRP & ERP systems, preferably Oracle ERP Cloud-Fusion or similar software.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a comprehensive understanding of supply chain functions.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities using analytical and creative approaches.

  • Ability to apply mathematical skills to analyze and interpret manufacturing, financial, and customer performance metrics.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate effectively. Occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary for evaluating product quality.
  • Work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional requirements to operate in a manufacturing setting while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends as needed.
