We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health System. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and performing procedures according to established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to take diagnostic images of specific body areas and produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Prepare and position patients properly and provide clear instructions regarding the procedure before beginning an exam.
- Ensure quality review of images and adherence to departmental SOPs.
- Practice safety protocols with regard to patient and employee safety when in range of magnetic field.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum.
- Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit.
- ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI required within 180 days of hire or transfer.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Program or related health field.
- Years of experience as an MRI technologist or training.
