Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at Spaulding Nursing & Therapy Centers. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in implementing patient care plans, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
- Provide physical care to patients, including bed baths, toileting, grooming, and changing bed linens, adhering to established guidelines.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and blood glucose levels, performing tasks as directed by registered nurses.
- Prepare patients for meals, assisting with feeding and hydration as needed.
- Perform regular patient rounds, responding promptly to call lights and addressing patients' needs.
- Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient room, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Collect and label specimens, following established procedures.
- Provide mentorship and training to new nursing assistants, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing assistant certification preferred.
- Recent experience in clinical patient care, with a focus on providing exceptional patient support and care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move patients, as well as push and pull equipment, up to 50 pounds.
- Valid CPR certification and knowledge of DPH/OEMS regulations.
