Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean and organized patient area, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patient care.
- Perform various patient care activities, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and other procedures, under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Assist patients and families with navigation throughout the clinic, including escorting patients to appointments and check-out areas.
- Prepare charts for physician and nurse practitioner review, ensuring all necessary reports and results are available prior to patient visits.
- Maintain and order clinic supplies, adhering to hospital policies and procedures for waste disposal and infection control.
- Verify patient identification and obtain specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and handling.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant Program.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Current American Heart Association CPR card or obtain within 30 days of hire.
