Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and refining manufacturing methodologies that align with statistical process control principles. You will provide expert advice to engineering teams on design concepts and specifications to optimize the use of equipment and manufacturing techniques. Compliance with industry regulations is paramount, and you will play a key role in ensuring that all processes and procedures meet these standards.

Your responsibilities will include designing manufacturing workflows, procedures, and production layouts for various assemblies, equipment installations, processing, machining, and material handling. You will also be tasked with arranging machinery within production facilities to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Additionally, you will design operational sequences and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment, ensuring that product performance is not compromised. Adapting machine or equipment designs to suit factory conditions will be essential, and you may also incorporate inspection and testing requirements into the production strategy.

As part of your role, you will evaluate the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to confirm their operational efficiency, investigating any issues and initiating corrective actions to uphold product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in mechanically and electrically oriented manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience leading significant manufacturing engineering projects is essential.
  • Problem-solving skills are crucial; certification as a green belt or black belt is highly desirable.
