Facilities Operations Manager

The Facilities Manager is a key member of our team responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall comfort of our residents. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing emergency repairs, and overseeing the general upkeep of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on all appliances throughout the facility.
- Maintain all housekeeping and landscaping equipment in safe and working condition.
- Manage staff under their direction.
- Schedule and track outside maintenance services.
- Keep facility grounds in a clean, presentable, and operational state.
- Organize the set-up and take-down of equipment used for facility events.
- Train new employees for landscaping and future facility management.
- Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment, or neglect.
- Intervene in situations involving unsafe or inadequate care and report immediately to the Administrator.
- Promptly respond to emergency call systems, telephones, and paging systems.
- Participate in all scheduled team member meetings and other community-wide team member meetings as requested.
- Participate in voluntary and mandatory on-going education and in-service training.
- Use effective verbal and non-verbal communication to present information in a positive and non-threatening way.
- Maintain a safe environment by recognizing environmental safety hazards, using safe practices, and following community disaster plans.
- Provide basic emergency care as determined by the emergency needs of residents.
- Keep storage rooms, pantries, and storage bins orderly and compliant with state laws and regulations.
- Report any needed repairs of community-owned property to the Administrator.
- Notify the Administrator of any inappropriate staff conduct.
- Perform and complete assignments within established procedures and guidelines.
- Complete all reports and documents accurately and completely.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to employment.
- Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be professional in appearance and conduct.
- Have current Adult First Aid card at time of employment (or obtain within the first four weeks of employment) and maintain throughout the length of employment.
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed.
