We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indiana. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, monitoring patient condition and communicating with healthcare teams.
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner certification from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee required.
- Respiratory Therapist - Registered certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
