Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

At Bollinger Shipyards, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the engineering aspects of assigned projects across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the engineering aspects of projects, ensuring integration across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop and control project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely completion within financial constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with engineering managers and leads to integrate project activities and technical deliverables.
  • Provide technical support to business development, estimating, and on-site support teams.
  • Act as the main engineering liaison for customers, Program Management Office, Production, Purchasing, Outside Design Agents, and Regulatory Authorities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical (electronic) engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in C5, including design development, analysis, and integration of C4 and Cyber systems for US Government programs.
  • Alternatively, 12 years of C5 working experience with at least 2 years in project management.
Requirements:
  • Ability to recognize and organize project team members into an effective and efficient team.
  • Proven ability to manage engineering scope for major C5 and electrical subcontractors on significant US Government shipbuilding programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with USCG (CFR) and IMO statutory regulations (SOLAS, IBC) as well as classification requirements (ABS or DNV) is desirable.
  • Must be a U.S. National with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (active Secret clearance preferred).
