We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at The Lung and Sleep Center of North Texas. Our clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients, and we strive to deliver comprehensive and compassionate medical treatment.

Job Overview

This role involves scheduling and check-in patients, answering telephones, verifying patient insurance information, managing incoming referrals and faxes, contacting patients for medical information, and supporting the billing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Greet patients, verify their information, collect co-pay and/or deductible, and assist with necessary paperwork for appointments.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently manage appointment bookings, register and schedule patients to ensure the clinic's schedule runs smoothly.
  • Telephone and Email Communication: Answer multiple phone lines, handle patient inquiries, appointment confirmations, and general queries via phone and email while documenting encounters in the electronic medical records system.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information and ensure accurate billing details are collected.
  • Medical Records Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
  • Patient Assistance: Provide directions, information, and support to patients as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Essential for efficient job performance.
  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology: Important for effective communication with patients and medical staff.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer-facing role, ideally within a healthcare setting, is preferred.
Working Conditions

The primary location is 7505 Glenview Drive in North Richland Hills. Willingness to travel between other office locations may be required. A flexible work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development awaits the successful candidate.

Compensation: Starting from $16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
