Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Uptown Blanco Arts and Entertainment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings that showcase our restaurant's unique flavor profile.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee the daily management of our kitchen, including inventory control, food preparation, and presentation. Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate our culinary team to achieve exceptional results, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure that everyone is working together to deliver outstanding service.
  • Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses, including food, labor, and supplies, to ensure that we are operating within budget and maintaining profitability.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food meets our high standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with our food vendors, negotiating prices and ensuring that we are receiving the best quality products at competitive prices.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of inventory, ensuring that we are always stocked with the freshest ingredients and minimizing waste.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that our kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for our culinary team, ensuring that everyone has the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a senior culinary role, with a proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen operations, and team leadership.
  • Culinary Education: A high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate, with a strong foundation in culinary arts and sciences.
  • Leadership Skills: Outstanding leadership and management abilities, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
