Key Responsibilities of the Nursing Education Coordinator:

  • Design, develop, and deliver educational programs across all shifts and departments.
  • Engage in the staff evaluation process by maintaining attendance records and assessing employee performance.
  • Conduct general facility orientation for all new hires and provide ongoing in-service training.
  • Establish and maintain a monthly and annual schedule of educational programs.
  • Ensure that Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) fulfill the annual 12-hour in-service training requirement.
  • Actively contribute to quality assurance initiatives and communicate concerns to management.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care environment preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state
  • CPR certification
