Job Summary

Xpedient Logistics is seeking a skilled Yard Driver to join our team. As a Yard Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck, picking up new products, and delivering them to the proper location in a timely manner.

You will also be working as a Gate Attendant, responsible for access control of all incoming and outgoing traffic into the facility yard. This includes documenting arrival of trailers, checking accuracy of paperwork, and performing physical door checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all required safety regulations and protocols.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the yard truck.
  • Move trailers in and out of the dock in a timely manner.
  • Inspect trailers and loads in the yard and on the dock as needed.
  • Make basic repairs to equipment.
  • Prepare and document all reporting requirements accurately and timely.
  • Complete any assigned work by management.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and truck drivers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Physical fitness to pass a physical exam every two years.
  • Hand-eye coordination and visual and hearing acuity to meet federal regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
