About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing essential support and equipment as needed.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely communication with medical staff and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
