We are seeking an Senior Systems Engineer who will lead internal product development and customer integration and adoption activities, driving innovation in sensor systems throughout their lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the evolution and development of new cutting-edge sensor technology:
    • Design and develop algorithms and analysis methods and tools for radar, direction finding, or other surveillance sensor systems.
    • Drive the derivation and documentation of system requirements using input from various technical disciplines.
    • Lead the development of system architectures for new hardware and software designs.
    • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Play a key role in the verification and validation of hardware and software platforms:
    • Plan and design live test events both internally and externally in support of sensor performance validation.
    • Provide hands-on in-field support for the testing of surveillance sensor system performance.
    • Develop methods and tools to analyze and evaluate radar and surveillance sensor system performance.
    • Author test reports and draw data-driven conclusions and recommendations based on test results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of radar and/or communication systems using software-defined radios, custom hardware, and/or other COTS devices.
  • Working knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as 802.11, 4G/LTE, Bluetooth, etc., encompassing all layers of the Open Systems Interconnection model.
  • Sensor performance modeling and simulation expertise.
  • Digital signal processing skills.
  • Analytical programming platforms such as MATLAB or Python proficiency.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with potential hybrid arrangements.

Compensation and Benefits:

HIDDEN LEVEL INC offers a competitive salary range estimated at $109,000 to $133,000 annually, based on location in Syracuse, NY.
