Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to work in a supportive environment, assisting patients with their daily living activities and ensuring their safety and comfort.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Care: Assist patients with basic needs, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance, while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Patient Monitoring: Regularly observe and monitor patients to ensure their safety and security.
  • Transportation: Safely transport patients as required, adhering to established procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with licensed nursing staff, following established policies and procedures, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Environmental Cleaning: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing environmental cleaning tasks according to agency policies.
  • Safety Procedures: Adhere to hospital/nursing safety procedures and regularly review them to ensure patient and personal safety.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physical tasks that require strength, such as bending, stooping, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and lifting patients with assistance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Possess both a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification and a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification from the state of Kansas.
  • BLS Certification: Current BLS certification is required.
