Position Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacist role is designed for a per diem professional who will ensure the precise and timely administration of medications and intravenous solutions to patients, adhering to valid therapeutic prescriptions and complying with all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as established standards and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily operations across all drug distribution areas.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Externs/Interns, ensuring adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Engage in Performance Improvement initiatives and maintain compliance for accreditation readiness.
Essential Qualifications:


Experience in a hospital setting, including knowledge of Unit Dose and IV Additives, along with proficiency in computer systems and strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Science/Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an accredited institution.

Professional Experience:

Prior hospital experience, particularly with Unit Dose and IV Additives, is essential.

Licensure:

Must possess a current Pharmacy Registration in Massachusetts.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with software such as Pyxis and Meditech is preferred.
