About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician/Driver to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Technician/Driver, you will play a critical role in supporting the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing various clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter prescriptions and verify accurate information
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
  • Process prescriptions from intake to order completion
  • Resolve customer issues and provide accurate information
  • Deliver medications
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and maintain compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in New Hampshire or the ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to make deliveries using company vehicle
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • PTCB certification
  • Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
