We are a leading dental practice in North Port, Florida, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and service. As a full-time Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with our dentists to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of chairside dental assisting experience and a strong working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Requirements
  • 1+ year of chairside dental assisting experience.
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required under the state dental practice act).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
