Part-Time Food Server Position

As a Part-Time Food Server at Harrah's Northern California, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests by providing accurate and timely food and beverage orders. Your primary goal will be to enhance the overall dining experience for our guests, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to our establishment.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service: Greet guests by name, seat them, and make them feel welcome and special. Anticipate guest needs and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.
- Order Taking and Preparation: Take food and beverage orders, communicate with bartenders and other team members to deliver a seamless dining experience. Prepare and present drinks to guests, and enter orders into the computer system.
- Food Service: Pick up food orders from the kitchen area and serve to guests. Perform routine server station work, such as preparing toast, dressing salads, and ladling soup for guest orders.
- Table Maintenance: Deliver table set-ups with food orders and clear away in a timely manner. Assist other servers and server assistants as needed, and clear and clean tables and work areas as required.
- Guest Relations: Take responsibility for handling guest complaints, resolving issues with or without management assistance. Prepare and deliver checks to guests, process guest payments, and close checks in the computer system in a timely manner.
- Previous Experience: Required 1-year previous food and beverage service experience, including tray service.
- Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age.
- Knowledge and Skills: Required extensive knowledge of beers, wines, liquors, and drink recipes. Basic math skills, including the ability to count money and present correct change, are also required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Preferred casino restaurant/bar experience and knowledge of or familiarity with fine dining/steakhouse menus.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to work and maneuver in a close or small working environment during the entire shift. Must be able to access the kitchen area and lift heavy trays with food above shoulder level.
- Mental Ability: Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures, stoop, bend, reach, and kneel. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights. Must be able to work a varied schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed, and be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
