About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Economist to lead our efforts in understanding the economic impact of our Fashion Tech programs. The successful candidate will have expertise in causal modeling, a proven track record of leadership, and a strong understanding of advanced statistical software packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced frameworks and models to assess the causal economic impact of content, programs, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Collaborate with finance, CBA, and business teams to define robust metrics and methodologies for measuring the attributed and incremental value of Fashion Tech programs and features.
  • Lead the resolution of complex challenges related to content attribution and program incrementality, leveraging existing systems and methodologies while exploring innovative approaches.
  • Conduct in-depth economic analyses to address critical business questions, such as estimating the economic value of key programs and evaluating the ongoing business impact of post-launch customer experience improvements.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, economists, and business leaders to integrate economic insights into strategic decision-making processes and shape future initiatives.
About the Team

The Fashion Intelligence team is responsible for improving the speed, accuracy, and standards of data-driven decisions across all programs within Fashion Tech. We strive to break silos and identify interconnectedness across Fashion Tech programs, keeping the customer at the center.

Requirements
  • PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of experience in applied economics, with a proven track record of leadership and impact in a technology or e-commerce environment.
  • Expertise in advanced causal modeling techniques, both in experimental and observational settings.
  • Fluency in at least one statistical software package such as R, Stata, Matlab, SAS.
