Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance

FPC National is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Global Trade Compliance to join their team. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of international trade operations, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Trade Operations Management: Oversee all import and export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
  2. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for customs clearance, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices.
  3. Supplier Relationships: Maintain and develop strong relationships with third-party suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
  4. Internal Coordination: Coordinate with internal departments, such as purchasing, finance, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of goods.
  5. Trade Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze trade data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  6. Process Optimization: Implement and manage efficient processes for import and export activities to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and ensure the company's operations comply with all relevant laws and standards.
  8. Issue Resolution: Resolve any issues related to customs clearance, shipping delays, or other logistical challenges.
  9. Team Training: Train and mentor team members on best practices in international trade and compliance.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in import and export management, with a strong focus on customs and documentation.
  3. Skills: In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements, proven ability to manage relationships with third-party suppliers and service providers, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with trade management software.
  4. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the consumer goods industry and professional certification in international trade or customs brokerage.
