Key Responsibilities
  • Nutritional Assessments: Conduct thorough nutritional assessments to determine client eligibility for the WIC program.
  • Client Education: Provide basic health education to WIC clients on topics such as nutrition, lactation, and community resources.
  • Food Package Prescription: Prescribe individually tailored food packages for clients based on their nutritional needs.
  • Documentation and Scheduling: Document services provided and schedule client appointments in a timely manner.
  • Program Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state WIC program policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nutrition or public health.
  • Experience: One year of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification: Current Washington State certification as a Medical Assistant-Registered within 90 days of hire.
