Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled WIC Certifier Nutritionist to join our team at Franciscan Medical Group. As a WIC Certifier Nutritionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of women, infants, and children by providing nutritional assessments, education, and counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutritional assessments to determine eligibility for the WIC Program
  • Provide education and counseling to participants on healthy eating habits and nutrition
  • Make referrals to community services and resources as needed
  • Document and maintain accurate records of services provided
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for local agency WIC staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences or Public Health Nutrition and at least one year of related work experience. You will also need to be registered as a Medical Assistant and have licensure as a Registered Dietitian or be eligible for registration. Work experience in the WIC program is preferred.
