POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Glendale Information Center is in search of a Client Engagement Specialist responsible for generating lead opportunities for our sales team, supporting outbound lead development, and fostering meaningful relationships with client families. This role also involves scheduling appointments for client families while educating them about the importance of preplanning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct outbound communications to inform client families about the benefits of preplanning.
  • Deliver compassionate and supportive services to our Forest Lawn client families.
  • Generate new lead opportunities through proactive outreach initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a network of sources to identify new lead opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with client families through various communication channels, including voice, email, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Follow up with existing leads through client-family surveys to enhance the client experience journey.
  • Engage potential clients through outbound communications, introducing them to our services and effectively conveying our preplanning value proposition.
  • Identify the needs of client families regarding products or services.
  • Utilize professional expertise to address objections and effectively communicate the value of Forest Lawn Pre-planning.
  • Appointment Setting: Qualify leads and arrange sales appointments for our Advance Planning Team.
  • Ensure appointments are well-prepared and aligned with clients' expectations.
  • Keep potential clients informed and engaged with our offerings.
  • Prioritize tasks and contribute to business growth while achieving monthly/weekly activity goals and quarterly KPIs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and legal requirements, maintaining a leading position in the funeral industry.
  • Collaborate with the Client Engagement Manager and other departments, such as Marketing and Advance Planning teams, to share feedback and insights for achieving individual and team objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to the Client Engagement Manager regarding outbound progress, engagement, and any challenges or opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Extensive experience in outbound tele sales and/or lead generation, preferably in people-focused industries.
  • Comfortable working onsite (hybrid).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of outbound calling/prospecting experience with a proven track record of generating leads and scheduling sales appointments.
  • Proficient in utilizing CRM software and other sales tools for lead management.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to engage prospects, nurture leads, and develop long-term partnerships.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual in any additional language.
  • Previous experience in cold calling, advertising, and/or sales force.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software.
