The Salvation Army is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to support individuals and families in need. Our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program that helps men and women overcome addiction and achieve their goals.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team. As a Donation Attendant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our donation center. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and processing donations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing excellent customer service to donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process donations from donors, ensuring that all items are properly sorted and stored.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the donation trailer/pod and surrounding areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
  • Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out.
  • Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and write, and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to move product up to 75 lbs.
