Job Overview:
As a Logs and Records Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep and management of aircraft engine, module, and accessory log cards and records. Your expertise will ensure that all records are accurate and compliant with required inspections and maintenance protocols.

In this administrative capacity, you will be tasked with screening incoming records for precision, consolidating and recreating records as necessary, and providing input to the Aircraft Engine Management System (AEMS) through Engine Transaction Reports (ETRs). Additionally, you will oversee the closeout of logbooks following the completion of maintenance transactions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update aircraft engine, module, and accessory log cards and records.
  • Manage engine logs and records to ensure compliance with necessary inspections, component life tracking, and configuration management.
  • Perform logbook closeouts upon the completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct data entry into the NALCOMIS or equivalent systems and the Engine Tracking System (ETS).
  • Execute additional duties such as data reporting for effective production or scheduling, technical directive scheduling, tracking, and materials ordering.
  • Be prepared for short-term travel and shift work as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing aircraft or engine-related logs and records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Experience with Scheduled Removal Cards (SRC), Aeronautical Screening Records (ASR), Engine History Records (EHR), and Aeronautical Engine Screening Records (AESR).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Access Database.
  • Familiarity with COMNAVAIRFORINST.
  • Knowledge of NALCOMIS/OIMA and experience with ad hoc reporting within NALCOMIS.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
