Job Summary

Environmental Remedies Inc. is seeking an experienced Asbestos Abatement Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of abatement workers in the removal of asbestos and lead-containing building materials from residential and commercial structures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the building trades, particularly in demolition, HVAC, water mitigation, or mold remediation. They will be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, work in confined areas in extreme temperatures, and perform heavy physical work over prolonged periods.

The Asbestos Abatement Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all safety procedures are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment and respiratory equipment. They will also be responsible for supervising the removal of hazardous building materials, cleaning work areas, tools, and equipment, and loading or unloading materials or waste into containers or onto trucks.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $38.00 per hour, plus benefits, including 401(k), 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, and a referral program. They will also be eligible for bonus opportunities, including a signing bonus.

Hours/Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with occasional weekends and approximately 1-2 Saturdays per month.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferred experience in the building trades, especially demolition, HVAC, water mitigation, or mold remediation.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work in confined areas in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work over prolonged periods.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow the safety procedures required to handle asbestos-containing materials.
  • Ability to work in safety clothing and respiratory equipment.
  • Ability to use the tools, materials, and equipment used in general construction work.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by state and federal regulations at the time of appointment.
  • Must possess a AHERA Asbestos Worker or Supervisor Certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 per hour
