Position Overview

The Travel MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services across various locations. This position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to maintaining exceptional standards in patient care and imaging quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Licensure and Certification: Maintain all necessary certifications and licensure in accordance with relevant health regulations.
  • Clinical Proficiency: Execute clinical, technical, and administrative tasks effectively.
  • Imaging Procedures: Conduct MRI imaging procedures with precision.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and prepare specialized imaging equipment for magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Patient Preparation: Assist in preparing and positioning patients to ensure optimal imaging results.
  • Technical Judgment: Apply sound technical judgment to achieve diagnostic-quality studies tailored to patient needs.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear explanations to patients regarding imaging procedures and any necessary instructions.
  • Safety Protocols: Review patient safety questionnaires and adhere to MRI safety protocols prior to scanning.
  • Patient Clearance: Ensure patients are appropriately cleared before transitioning between designated zones.
  • Media Administration: Assist in the administration of contrast media and utilize power injectors under sterile conditions.
  • Image Quality: Position patients and coils to obtain the best possible imaging results.
  • Documentation: Ensure all patient-related documents are scanned and accurately recorded.
  • Image Management: Label all images according to departmental standards and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
  • Collaboration: Assist physicians as needed during imaging procedures.
  • Radiograph Evaluation: Assess radiographs for technical acceptability and ensure timely image processing.
  • Cleanliness Standards: Maintain cleanliness of the imaging room and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Supply Management: Keep necessary supplies and accessories stocked in the imaging room.
  • Patient Tracking: Accurately log all required patient tracking information into the Radiology Information System (IDX).
  • Exam Scheduling: Schedule examinations within the IDX system as necessary.
  • Study Completion: Ensure all studies are completed and documented in IDX promptly.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report any equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Infection Control: Follow infection control policies to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Professional Development: Participate in required training and professional development activities.
