Job Summary:
The Recovery Support Technician is a vital member of our team at Volunteers of America Mid-States, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our residential programs and clients. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain operational control of the facility in the absence of senior staff, ensuring a smooth and secure environment for clients.
- Monitor client compliance with Volunteers of America policies and house rules, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of events, client sign-in/sign-out logs, and other relevant documentation.
- Conduct regular facility tours and grounds checks to identify and address any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Provide transportation and childcare services as required, ensuring the well-being and safety of clients.
- Collaborate with senior staff and the PQI Committee to identify areas for improvement and implement Performance Quality Improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of post-secondary education preferred.
- Two years of prior experience in a treatment facility or related field; specialized knowledge and experience also considered.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required; ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
