Position Summary:
The Automotive Store Manager is tasked with providing daily leadership and direction to the store and its team members. This role is pivotal in supporting Monro's vision of being a trusted leader in automotive and tire services.
Compensation: $22.00-$30.00 per hour, with additional incentives and compensation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and mentor sales and technical team members to ensure a consistent 5-star customer experience.
- Achieve sales targets by creating and executing effective sales strategies, leveraging in-depth knowledge of services and products.
- Introduce tire and service offerings to customers to enhance sales, satisfaction, and loyalty.
- Support team members in maintaining a productive sales environment through training and development in shop operations and customer service.
- Oversee staffing by managing recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Control expenses by managing payroll, utility costs, and other controllable expenditures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Technical Service Manager, Service Manager, and Assistant Store Manager, under the general guidance of the District Manager.
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of proven leadership experience in a retail or sales environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance while controlling costs.
- Strong capacity to influence and motivate a team towards achieving objectives.
- Customer and team-focused mindset with extensive experience in customer-centric environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information and writing routine reports.
- Business-oriented mentality with a drive to exceed established goals.
- Basic algebra skills for calculating figures such as discounts and percentages.
- Proactive approach with demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify problems, gather data, and develop practical solutions.
- Effective mentoring and coaching skills for team development.
This position operates in an automotive shop environment, which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, and various chemicals. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
Flexibility in working hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance, along with frequent standing, walking, and physical movements.
