This role involves working up to 20 hours per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Cybersecurity Education Specialist will provide accreditation and administrative support to the Cybersecurity program, facilitating student success and collaborating closely with the Program Director to ensure an outstanding educational experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in the recruitment, evaluation, and staffing of Cybersecurity classes.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the academic experiences of Cybersecurity students.
  3. Offer supportive services as a formal advisor for a significant portion of Cybersecurity students and act as a mentor for all students in the program.
  4. Help secure internship opportunities for Cybersecurity students.
  5. Teach one Cybersecurity class per semester.
  6. Ensure alignment between Cybersecurity and other college program policies, curricula, and operations.
  7. Support the Program Director in maintaining compliance with Centers for Academic Excellence (CAE) standards.
  8. Analyze evaluation and assessment documents to identify areas for improvement.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Strong organizational abilities.
  3. Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  4. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Familiarity with college Center for Technology Innovation programs and academic policies.
  7. Awareness of the diverse needs of the student body and the institutional environment.
  8. Commitment to the College's mission.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A master's degree in cybersecurity or a related field is preferred, while a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related field is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in the cybersecurity industry or higher education is preferred.
  • Experience with accreditation processes is advantageous.
