Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Lifeguard to join our team at the Fairbanks North Star Borough. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of spectators, participants, and staff involved in aquatic activities. You will also assist with pool facility maintenance, including routine clean-up, sanitizing, and general maintenance in pool and locker room areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and enforce proper safety rules and activities in swimming areas
Perform lifesaving and first aid procedures as appropriate for the situation
Provide routine clean-up, sanitizing, and general maintenance in pool and locker room areas
Perform chlorine and PH water testing
Complete daily attendance and revenue reports as instructed

Requirements:

Eighteen years of age at time of employment
Possess and maintain certification in Standard First Aid, Lifeguarding, and CPR-PR as recognized by the American Red Cross (or equivalent)
Ability to deal with the public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner
