Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare metal surfaces for coating through various techniques such as abrasive blasting, high-pressure washing, and wire brushing to eliminate contaminants like grease, dirt, and rust
  • Mask areas that are not intended for painting
  • Manage the hanging and removal of parts from automated overhead conveyors and racks
  • Apply powder coating to a variety of metal types
  • Inspect parts for defects both before and after the powder coating process
  • Examine coated components for imperfections, including runs, sags, and uncoated sections
  • Utilize a mil thickness testing gauge to verify the adequacy of powder application
  • Conduct routine maintenance on all types of paint booths and spray equipment
  • Accurately document production data using computer terminals and/or written reports
  • Follow both visual and written instructions to complete tasks within designated timeframes
  • Engage in cycle counting of parts and perform material handling duties as necessary
  • Promote, communicate, and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization
  • Comply with all quality and safety regulations
  • Assist with additional projects and perform other duties as assigned
