We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and notify providers as needed.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner certification.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification or Neonatal Resuscitation Program completion within 30 days of employment.
