Job Title: Dispatcher

Overview:

MV Transportation is seeking a skilled Dispatcher to oversee the day-to-day route operations and report to the Dispatch Supervisors. This role involves daily communication and interaction with drivers and clients, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client calls and communicate issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as needed.
  • Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service provision for quality.
  • Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service.
  • Track and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
  • Assign trips to drivers to ensure adequate distribution of trips between assigned routes.
  • Monitor daily system performance.
  • Participate in analysis and review of operating performance.
  • Note closed and/or late starting of routes and communicate with Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers as necessary.
Requirements:
  • One year of previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
  • Two years of Customer Service experience is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Trapeze software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a high customer service commitment.
  • Able to demonstrate professional phone manner.
  • Knowledge of the service area is a plus.
