Job Title: Continuous Improvement Project Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Continuous Improvement Project Lead to join our team at Hexion. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring projects aimed at improving our processes and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor DMAIC, Lean, and Productivity Savings projects to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Translate objectives into prioritized and actionable plans at a work-stream level, utilizing good project management, tracking, and reporting skills.
  • Identify projects and improvement opportunities to drive business results and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and implement changes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with site managers, management team members, CI team members, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of industry or manufacturing experience, with a strong background in process improvement and project management.
  • Existing chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification with experience in applying the Six Sigma toolset.
  • Strong knowledge and experience applying Lean principles, including Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis and basic quality tools, such as problem-solving.
  • Project management and Scrum experience are preferred.
  • Change management mindset and process improvement methods.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence others to action.
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities, with presentation skills.
  • Technical degree in engineering or chemistry is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively work and lead local natural work teams.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Minitab.
