Job Summary

Factory Direct Marine & RV - TN is seeking a highly skilled Warranty Clerk to join our team. As a Warranty Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation and accountability of scheduling, processing, and completing warranty claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service regarding warranty claims and unit information.
  • Manage work orders on a daily basis, ensuring proper Work Order Management and efficient processing through the Shop, Warranty, and Parts departments.
  • Follow the FDMRV check-in procedure when receiving new units and process customer work orders efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain high morale with team members throughout all departments.
  • Schedule work orders to technicians, ensuring that all work is properly routed and staged for each technician by 8:30 am daily.
  • Improve efficiency of technicians by pre-planning all work and monitoring daily productivity levels.
  • Process all warranty claims within 24 hours of receiving the pcc's and re-schedule work back to the shop for completion once warranty is approved.
  • Finalize all warranty claims in a timely manner, keeping the warranty clerk screen current at all times.
  • Follow-up with technicians to ensure all warranty parts are tagged and returned, and send all warranty part returns to the parts department for proper shipping returns.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations.
  • Check all work to ensure that the quality of work performed is satisfactory and signed off.
  • Close all work orders immediately after inspection of the completed work and all retail money is collected prior to customer taking vehicle.
  • Obtain customer signatures on all repair orders and warranty claim forms when applicable.
  • Work a minimum of 45 hours during each pay period, less any approved and paid time off.
