Job Summary:

State Farm is seeking a skilled Auto Estimator to join our team. As an Auto Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating vehicle damage and creating repair estimates. You will work closely with our insureds to explain coverage and help them through the claims process while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate vehicle damage and create repair estimates using automated estimating systems
  • Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues
  • Apply knowledge of market value and other factors affecting reparability issues
  • Evaluate bid content and photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to customers
  • May occasionally require interacting with parties who express strong emotions or concerns about ongoing inspections or claim resolutions
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements:

  • Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience
  • Ability to adequately evaluate vehicle damage and create repair estimates which may require stooping, bending, and some physical lifting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License (preferred)
  • A valid driver's license is required
