About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lighting Design Specialist to join our team. As a Lighting Design Specialist, you will have the opportunity to apply the unique craft of telling a story with light. Your day-to-day will include drafting in Revit or AutoCAD, developing bespoke solutions, and documenting deliverable sets.

We are looking for someone with flexibility, attention to detail, and great communication skills. If you have a deep well of curiosity and a love of design, we want to hear from you. This position is offered to people willing to live in (or move to) the greater SF Bay Area and physically be in the SOMA office a minimum 2 days a week.

Requirements
  • 4-5 years of experience in lighting design
  • Detail oriented, proactive, and organized
  • Love of design and a technical aptitude
  • Degree in a related design field
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Suite, AGI calculation software
  • Special interest in sustainable design is a plus
