Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Forklift Driver to join our team at J.R. Simplot Company. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for safely maintaining an orderly and efficient cold storage warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to move totes from production line to the warehouse, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Load, unload, high stack, and stage totes of frozen goods, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Enter data and product locations accurately using a hand scanner, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Read daily order sheets and locate products in the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Load and unload trailers on the dock, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Perform pre-operation maintenance checks on the forklift, reporting any operating issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Charge forklift batteries, ensuring continuous operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our warehouse operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ years related experience and/or training
  • Good knowledge of computer systems
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, and high stacking totes of product
  • Prior experience in a cold storage warehouse environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible, and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment
