Job Summary

The Cyclotron Research Group is a cutting-edge research and production facility for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, serving the nuclear medicine community. Our team of academic faculty, scientific staff, and students collaborate to develop novel radionuclide science and technology for various fields, including cancer management, diabetes, nuclear reactors, materials science, and applied inorganic chemistry.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement methods for providing novel and established radiometal synthons for preclinical and clinical nuclear medicine research.
  • Collaborate with the accelerator, radiochemical separations, nuclear, and radioanalytical expertise available in the Cyclotron Group to facilitate downstream research applications.
  • Transition benchtop research methods from fundamental scientific research into reliable processes that can sustainably serve highly integrated, multi-disciplinary projects in medical science.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory setting serving a relevant field of work.
  • Radiochemistry experience, especially with radiometals, is preferred.
