We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and code compliance of designated facilities, including equipment and systems, by managing and directly supervising the activities of the maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the effective maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds, equipment, and hardware by utilizing efficient planning and scheduling and ensuring work is completed according to applicable regulations and standards.
- Lead, supervise, and performance manage facilities staff and be accountable for the area's operational planning as well as resource allocation and utilization.
- Organize, plan, coordinate, execute, monitor, and deliver minor work projects.
- Assist with major capital projects when required.
- Ensure that work orders and service requests are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Order and purchase supplies.
- Prior experience in a service industry or contract services environment; experience in a healthcare setting is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years direct supervisory experience.
- University/College diploma or a Trade Qualification as a journeyman in a relevant trade.
