Job Title: Windows Workstation Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Windows Workstation Systems Administrator to join our team at TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients using Windows 10 computers
  • Apply advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Provide hardware support for Intel x86 based PCs, printers, scanners, and Common Access Cards (CAC)
  • Offer software support for Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and specialty engineering and scientific development tools
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, and patches
  • Coordinate with the Corporate IT Help Desk to maintain incident tickets and change requests
  • Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of organizational mailboxes
  • Maintain and develop IT-related procedures
  • Work with the Information Assurance Officer (IAO) to achieve system accreditation
  • Provide recommendations for future IT needs
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly progress and status reports
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and assist others in resolving IT-related issues
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and administration of computer systems in a LAN/WAN environment
  • Strong understanding of current Microsoft-supported Windows operating systems
  • Understanding of Linux operating systems is desirable but not required
  • High level of competency in both written and oral communication skills
  • DoD Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II certification required
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) networking and security accreditation processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of current Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Risk Management Framework
Preferred Skills:
  • IAT Level II Certification and Interim or Active Secret Clearance
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in system administration of Windows-based workstations
  • Understanding of ACAS scans and experience with STIGs
Work Environment:

This position will be performed across multiple sites in Dahlgren, VA. Business casual attire is required. The contract includes approximately 200 people divided into different teams.

Interview Information:

Interviews will be conducted with the PM (WebEx) and Technical Team Lead. The interview process is a one-step process with immediate feedback.
